Early Morning Um Above the Clouds

Arrived at 7:15 a.m. on a Friday, first car in the lot. Didn’t see anyone else on the upwards trail until the summit, encountered a few other hikers and joggers on the return trip. Saw a few deer, lots of birds and wildflowers. No views at Guadalupe Creek Overlook due to fog. Last .3 miles of the summit trail was closed due to construction. Took the 159 stairs from the parking area up to the summit and back down. Returned to the car by 10:30 a.m. 8.1 miles, 1,227 feet elevation gain.
