El cajon 13/18 had to be driven out by ranger

So the sun beat on me likedlike never before today???? made it to the peak but had to get picked up by the ranger in a Polaris at the half way point on the way down. I had plenty of water but the weather was just too hot. So I’m not sure if it counts or not but I’m glad I’m here to tell the story because I nearly lost hope on the descend and laid underneath a bush hoping to wait for the sun to come down and move on but I was sweating just laying there. My fault for being an ametuer hiker and not planning accordingly. Stay safe out there. And thank you for the ranger for saving my life.. Cheers
