El Cajon Mountain #1 New Years Day

3rd time summiting for me, first time with friends. Great weather and perfect temps for hiking.

The last 2 times it was in the high 80’s and made it much more difficult. Trail was in decent shape but some bigger ruts

because of the recent rain. Recommend at 3 liters of water to be safe, during the summer have at least for 4 be on the safe side.

The last couple miles always tough because of the uphill, great hike to test yourself. See you on the trail.
