June 3rd was a cool morning at 64F so my daughter and I took on El Cajon Mtn. The first two miles were nice with damp soil making the trail nice. The clouds kept the hike cool until noon. We started late at 10AM. Bugs and butterflies at the summit and the addition of new El Cajon Mtn signs and an American Flag. On the return trip the temperature was about 84F, still nice for this trail. We made a short detour to see the caves, but didn’t enter. Also, there is now a log book at the old car.
