El Cajon Mtn & Hard AF

Started this hike at 6:30am and so happy we did.  It took us a full 6hrs counting small breaks and then a 20min rest at the top of mountain.  This hike is not easy by any means going or coming back.  I bought piles for the hike and happy I did; although, it’s doable without them.  Lots of water is a must and my suggestion would be to tackle it before any sort of heat hits!

Entire trail was clean w only very little trash at peak which was disappointing…..leave no trace people & come prepared to pick up your own trash, even if it’s you TP!

It was a huge accomplishment & views were spectacular!  Not sure if I’d take the full hike on again though.
