El Cajon Scramble

The was ample parking in the designated lot. Started at around 8:30am. Dressed in too many layers. Quickly had to take my jacket off. Sun was out. We warmed up. Trail seemed to have a few switchbacks to start. And a lot of up and down. Both ways! The last quarter of the trail was a steep scramble on hands and knees. Lots of boulders. Poles certainly helped. The signage was excellent in the boulder section. Once at the summit, it got chilly. Beautiful views.
