Eldon lookout trail

Generally the trail was in great condition,  however an area where the trail rocks had been washed, someone built 2 large cairns up the center guided us to bear left up some boulders.  There was another cairn further up the boulders.  We thought maybe there was a short detour due to the rain as we knew the trail was somewhere right. After bushwacking, bouldering, we decided to track back down.  We pulled down the cairns and finally found the correct  trail. We found another woman doing the same thing so we turned her around too.  Just appeared someone may have been making cairns for fun .  Not fun for us, but an adventure. Steep trail with lots of steps. Great views at the top! Download the trail on AllTrails prior!
