Enjoy the journey, not just the destination!

Somehow felt this as an easy hike. First 800ft or so are little strenuous but then it’s a large dirt road that goes all the way up the mountain.

Views are nice. Its partly shaded but lot of it is exposed. Yesterday weather was gorgeous but it may start getting cooler on the mountain now.

The drive to the trailhead was very beautiful theough Napa and Calistoga.  Enjoyed the drive a lot.

Parking is just across the street from the trailhead. It does get very crowded but there was hardly anyone at 7am. We started at 7:15am and finished at noon.
