Escape to Black Mountain

This was a surprisingly great hike. There was cloud cover so it wasn’t too hot, great foliage and the trail followed a creek for a mile. We parked at Hidden Villa farm and took the Hidden Villa to Black Mountain path on All Trails. If you want to add an unnecessary extra hill you can start on the hostel trail instead of following flat trail thru the farm. It was steep but didn’t feel as brutal as Mission Peak. The switchbacks made it manageable.
