As many have reported, the first 2 miles are the most difficult especially if you are not used to altitude. It really gets your lungs warmed up. The rest of the hike was stunning. There were some interesting cloud formations. The lookout tower area views were unbelievably gorgeous and a good place to stop for a snack. The summit was interesting with the ladder and ropes. Oh! And the poppies were beautiful too.
