Family hike – Mt Woodson
Also on this hike
I found it fitting to finish this challenge with my family. My husband came along and helped guide our 3yr old and I packed the 1yr old.
Paid to park and restrooms in the lot.
Started at 6:45am, we went at the 3yr olds pace so she could walk the whole way up! Made it to the top about 9:45am and had lunch. We saw a guy climb a boulder. The 3yr old loved the Xmas ornaments in the trees.
We did find the USGS marker on top of a boulder behind the caged area. We didn’t take a photo on the rock but with it in the background.
On the way down we ran into a group of young guys, one had fallen and scraped his knee. Offered some Mandarin, liquid IV and bandaids. We ran into them again later on the way down. We did see other parents packing kids which is fun.
Not easy to take them but not a difficult trail.
So glad I could do this with them. Finished at about 12:30pm. Kids slept the whole way home and earned milkshakes.
