Felt Like Winter to me on Mt Elden

My final hike of the summer challenge felt more like winter to me. Low 30’s at the start, wind blowing on the way up and sounded like a jet engine on the summit, and dark ominous clouds that looked like they might bring snow although there was no precipitation in the forecast.  It was a tough hike and a cool trail where I saw lots of hiking pups ? with their human companions which always makes me smile. And I became mesmerized by these trees with silver metallic bark! ?
