Finishing on Helena!

What a way to end the challenge! I could see how this would be an unpopular trail – so much of it is on an exposed fire road. However, the road is well maintained and well graded (for most of it), making for a pleasant experience. We also had some luck with weather (because who ever knows what October brings), sunny but not too hot. There was a thick fog bank below us, making for some amazing vistas and photos. I like that there are clear markers at the top, that makes the summit feel more definite. All in all a great day.
