First hike to Cucamonga Peak

I started 4:30 am and there were plenty of others on the trailhead. I filled out the permit and started up. This felt harder than Baldy for me, though stats tell me it shouldn’t be. I haven’t done any serious exercise for two weeks, so maybe that’s why. There are a couple slightly tricky parts towards the top due to snow. No reception until a bit past Icehouse Saddle, but pretty good after that!

On my way down I had to stop a LOT. It was really crowded. I really prefer weekdays if at all possible.
