Great first challenge hike! A few patches of snow lingering along the trail and a few icy/muddy areas. We took the side 5 Oaks trail and would totally recommend. It was a little hazy toward the west, so no coastal views. We started out around 8am and there were only a few other people around. By the time we started back down the more people were on the way up.
