Flat Iron From the Siphon Draw revisited

Had another great trip up the Flat Iron. Started out just going up the Siphon Draw until I hooked up with another hiker going up to the Flat Iron. It was a Sunday, but it was early enough to beat the crowds. Took us almost 2 hours to reach the summit, without hardly seeing anyone else on the trail. Took in a little side trip to the memorial for the children lost in a plane crash years earlier, then up through the Hoodoo’s to Peak 5024. Beautiful day indeed. On our way down, we ran into the crowds, especially once we got back over to Siphon Draw. Took me 2 1?4 hours to get back down with all the trail traffic, but still a great day.
