Flatiron – a pleasant beast of a hike.

That Flatiron certainly looms intimidating at the start of this trail!

I appreciated that the trail starts gently so there is somewhat of a warmup before the trail goes steeply up to the Flatiron.

Just up from the bowl area is the part I found the toughest – steep and kinda smooth and that combo was unnerving.

After that it’s a steady climb over and around boulders until “the wall” – which I easily found a route around.

Enjoyed the great views so popped up to Peak 5024 as well, to take in a few more.
