Flatiron Mountain

This is our second road trip to Arizona and we wanted to finish the last 3 peaks of the AZ challenge and Flatiron was the first on our list. After a long drive from San Diego, we slept for about 5 hrs at a Walmart parking lot somewhere in Mesa before proceeding to the Lost Dutchman State Park the following morning. At the parking lot you could already see the beauty of Superstition Mountains. The review says it all: steep, dangerously challenging but magical with breathtaking views.
