Wildflowers blooming

On this particular day I was feeling tired from a lack of sleep and the long drive certainly didn’t help.  Of course this hike fell on the peak of an unseasonal heat wave.  It was a very exposed hike but as I made it up the mountain the weather started to cool down a bit and the breeze picked up.  The views towards the top were unmatched so far.  The ocean was beautiful and on this clear day I could see two of the Channel Islands (San Miguel and Santa Rosa).  I saw a view reptiles on the way up but the heat had them not moving an inch.  The wildflowers were a nice touch and I didn’t see many people until I was heading back down.  I’d do this hike again for sure.
