Glad we started on this hike at 07:30 – it is on an exposed fire road most of the way up. Beautiful views and interesting chaparral – lots of fire scars but everything is coming back. The trail leading up to the fire road has seen better days but it is under the trees which was nice at the end of the hike. No trail signs so stay right when confronted with a decision on the way up.
