When hiking you have a choice to make? Clear skies give you amazing views, but allow the sun to cook you. Foggy treks hide to would be sights but allow you to climb in comfort. We opted for the latter.

Trek is straight up with the first mile and a half loose dirt and some tree cover. Turning down a short trail to Indian Springs is worth it! But the last mile is exposed and requires maneuvering over steep boulders and rocks. Think incline lunges over and over again. In full sun, the last mile could be challenging, so hitting this hike when we did, in spring, is a great option. The dome was barely visible through the fog, but wildflowers were starting to bloom.
