Freakin Flatiron

Very awesome hike – lots of rock climbing – started at lost Dutchman where we camped and after a mile plus I returned a few kids and a dog to camp jogging and turn around to catch the party of 6 that kept going. After passing half that we’re returning way pre summit finally caught wife and 2 other finishers to finish the last difficult half mile or so. Loved the hike the view the accomplishment and the reward. Was amazed to find 2 young kids with their dad that managed to make the summit- couldn’t believe it- they were maybe 8 and 10. Blew my mind. Future hikers for sure. Weather was perfect hike was difficult but worth every step.
