Freezing on Flatiron

Hiking up Flatiron is definitely one of the hardest day hikes I’ve ever done…and the added ice only increased the thrill! My son and I certainly appreciated the cooler temps but felt the difficulty of several scrambles up and down rock formations that had ice still on them from the winter weather that came through PHX. Breathtaking views worth the work but will definitely bring gloves for the next attempt.
