Fremont Saddle
Also on this hike
We arrived before sunbreak to find a few cars in the parking lot. The cars looked like they had been there over night. I can only assume a few campers. The hike is a easy, it is a gradually uphill climb all the way to the saddle. A few stream crossings, but a few froggers moves across the top of rocks and my feet never got wet. The only slick areas was because of ice on the trail. After a few slips we learned where to step. Once we got to the top of the saddle the view of Weavers Needle was fantastic. In fact all the way up and down had amazing views. One of the most scenic hikes I have been on. Once we started heading down is when the not so early people were coming up. Lots of stepping to the side to give people room. One thing about starting in the dark is having the trail to yourself. Lots of cars coming in on the way out, some of them going a little too fast. I plan on doing this hike again.
