I have been on this trail a handful of times but never submitted until today. Dream send right here. The whole way up I was naming different landmarks and amazed with everything you could see on this forest. I realized on the hike that it was 3 years to the weekend that the El Dorado was burning here. So it was a powerful time to be hiking this trail for sure. I was taken aback with all of the new growth on the trail. Once we got about 2/3 the way up you could see Baldwin Lake and Big Bear Lake- I could not believe it. As we submitted it was a bit windy, chilly, and wet. But definitely in good spirits. I also could not believe being able to see Mill Creek and Forest Falls from the summit. I hiked down solo which was so nicety have the peace and solitude. My knees were feeling it too- a great reminder about recovery. After doing this hike, I am motivated to bag San B East from Momyer to also check that dream send of my send bucket lists on this forest. Hiking up to San B West- just so much pride in this hike.
