It was very hot the day we went so make sure to bring layers and lots of water. Many ankle to calf level water crossings and the gate is closed two miles from the trailhead that adds 4 miles to your hike. Beautiful day! I had a weird experience where it felt like someone pulled on my pack and turned around and no one was there. Great day overall!!
