Going in reverse still counts!

Gorgeous, well maintained, shady trail. Umunhum is a nice easy hike. We arrived at 8:22 on a Saturday and all parking at both the upper and lower lots as well as the minimal road spaces were full. We ended up driving to the summit and hiking the trail in reverse – down then up. The trail was the busiest we have ever seen it with a couple sizable groups as well as bikers. It was a very clear day so the views went on forever! We ran into some fellow 6-packers who said the lot was full at 7:30, but they ended up waiting until someone left to park. So be warned, this one has hit a popularity high – go early.
