Hiked with a dog

I’ve hiked up Mt Tam several times this year – all the way from Stinson Beach or from Mill Valley. But I chose to log this “hike,” even though it was only from Pantoll, because it has a special place in my heart for three reasons.

  1. It was the first time I’ve ever witnessed sunset from the top of Mt Tam,
  2. I went there with Nala, a doggo I love and was lucky enough to be dogsitting at the time, and
  3. It was the first time I’ve ever run to the top and back. (Strava)

It was an adventure coming back down in the dark to say the least, primal fears kicked in and I was calling out to scare potential mountain lions (are there even mountain lions on Mt Tam?) and prevent Nala and I from being eaten. But the sunrise and air filled with this buzzing live energy was very much worth it, and I loved every minute of that run!

I will be writing a blog post on it very soon, so I’ll drop a link to my blog below so you can find more photos!

  1. I’ve been having trouble adding pictures here – I did add some more than just the one bot for some reason they didn’t upload. I’ll drop the link to pictures here once I upload and publish them on my blog!
