Great views atop Granite Mountain
Also on this hike
Started just after 7 AM (60s and cloudy), so very pleasant the first half way up with low temperature and shade under the pine trees. It warmed up to the high 70s and the sun came out the second half where the shade disappeared up the mountain. It was a wonderful mix of pine trees and succulent plants like we see here in Mesa/Pheonix. Many small lizards skirted around the path as we came by. Also we seemed to have found quite a few caterpillars along the way. Thankfully brought enough water along to stay hydrated so that we could get the great views at the top. Recommend this hike for everyone!
