Griffith to the Peak

Logged this under the Griffith Peak hike log as well – we started at South Loop and hiked to Griffith, then along the saddle to the Peak.  Wanted to knock it out in one shot because the temperatures are dropping and October is fair game for snow on the mountain.  It was a LOOOOONG day – took over 11 hours (of active hiking) and with the early start it was CHILLY in the early morn.  Not sure that I would do them both again in the same day, but for sure each separately.  Glad I can check that off the bucket list!
