Half way mark

Another early start and officially halfway through the Six-Peak Challenge. This time I had my brother tag along for the adventure. We took it slow and steady, stopping often to catch our breath, take in the views, and enjoy the climb together.
The steep inclines were brutal at times, testing both our legs and mindset, but not enough to scare us away from the summit. We made our way up the Ski Hut Trail and came down the infamous Devil’s Backbone — an experience that was both intense and unforgettable. Between the narrow ridges, strong winds, and chilly air near the top, Mt. Baldy definitely reminded us why it’s one of the toughest peaks in SoCal.
Standing at the summit made every exhausting step worth it. The views stretched for miles, and for a moment everything felt peaceful despite how demanding the hike was.
