Half Way There

Light snow over night at the top, mostly melted by the time I reached the summit at 9am. Lots of ice being blown off the towers by the very strong and chilly winds!  Lower trail was wet and rocks were slippery, but the fire road was dry and in pretty good condition the whole way.  Parking was full by the time I returned to my car at 1130, and people were parking along the road, so the cold definitely didn’t keep away the crowds.  Do this hike on a week day if you can, otherwise plan on getting there before 8am to get a spot and avoid some of the crowds
