Halloween on Cuyamaca

It was a pretty surreal hike. The last time I hiked this peak was before the fires in 2007-08 and I remembered a lush green forest and hearing the sounds of the wind in pines for the first time. Those trees have since burned down, but the view from the top is still 10/10. There was a controlled burn going on that day in the valley, which was a little spooky before we knew it was controled!
