Hardest/Best Bay Area Hike – Rose Peak

I was so surprised by this trail. It’s one of my favorites since moving to California. The views are amazing, tons of wildlife (coyotes, bobcats, newts, falcons, and lots of cows and squirrels). I can say it’s one of my absolute favorites.

In terms of difficulty, it’s definitely long. Like any 15+ mile mountain climb it’s harder on the way down. My knees were crying on the way down. Very worth the effort though.
