Bug bites galore despite preparing with an insect repellent.  Noticed that the bugs were much worse near the water and better on the return upper winter creek trail. The day was a little muggy but plenty of beautiful wildflowers in bloom. There were places where broken logs obstructed the path that weren’t there last year but with a little maneuvering we got over them. This hike is long and in hot temps difficult but we peaked today
