High Point

5/24/24. It was forecasted to be 90% overcast & temp in the 50s; the reason why I wanted to hike this trail because I know the majority of the trail is exposed. What started as a cold temp hike, maybe 10 mins into hiking, quickly turned into a warm to very warm hike. I could see the sea of clouds in the valley below & nearby mountains and I remember asking “what happened to the forecast” & kept wishing it will move towards our path, LOL! There were few sections that were kind of steep but not too horrible. It was the non-stop incline that got my heart pumping hard! Saw two snakes! Definitely bug net as bugs on most of the trail.Nonetheless, it was still a beautiful day with colorful wildflowers in abundance & intermittent cool breeze. We had the trail to ourselves!
