High Point

My Friday the 13th 2020 was fabulous! I completed #17 of my 18 peak goal.

High Point (Palomar) ~ 13 mi, 3,500 ft gain, 6,138”

I was the only hiker on the trail (chatted with an e-biker headed down, waved and said hello to the volunteer on the fire lookout tower, and greeted two rangers on their way up in their jeep, but no other hikers all day). First couple miles are on the beautiful single track Oak Grove Trail. While the rest of the hike is on the Truck Trail fireroad, it’s still very beautiful. There was some snow as expected. You can see the Palomar observatory.
