High Point

Beautiful day at High Point. The marine layer burned off around 10 and then it was warm and humid but the breeze saved the day. There were tons of different plants exploding in blooms of red, purple, yellow, and white with I toxicating whifs of lilac periodically. The local bees love the blooms and totally ignored us but the horseflies were biting. Took us about 3 1/2 hours to make it the 7 miles to the top and we met 4 more 6 Peaks challengers up there.  Lots of cool lizards on the trail including a horny toad which my hubby hasn’t seen since he was a little kid.
