High Point Challenge

I enjoyed hiking this trail with a group.  The weather was perfect.  There were lovely views.  The first couple of miles were an uphill grind until we reached the road.  Although we continued to climb it seemed easier and wasn’t as rocky.  When climbing down the same section was tiring.  I loved checking out the rocks on the road.  There was a wide variety of colors.  The patches of snow were fun too.  A couple of us made snow angels.  I loved listening to the birds as I traveled along and had the opportunity to see a couple of hawks.   At the top the group celebrated one of the member’s birthday, took photos and ate snacks, etc.  This was one of my longer hikes but I appreciated the challenge!
