High Point “High”

While not as scenic as some of the other hikes, I actually had a sense of accomplishment from this one. What was astonishing to me is that though it was steep in spots going up, I didn’t realize how much we climbed until we were on the way down!  We were passed on the way up by a couple of jeep caravans (weren’t expecting cars) and a couple of dirt bikes.  Loved the picnic tables at the top where we ate lunch.  Bugs were totally annoying – needed window wipers for my glasses! Wildflowers on east side of mountain were pretty.
