Solo hike to High Point. I only saw two other hikers and had the summit to myself. There is still a few areas near the top with snow. Microspikes aren’t necessary. It was a beautiful day for a hike!

Was finding the trail head and staying on it pretty straight forward? A guide book we’ve been using mentioned that you really have to pay attention to stay on the correct trail with little to no signage.
The trail is pretty straightforward. There was one area where I did get off trail. I would recommend downloading the trail on all trails to keep you on track. The first two and a half miles is a beautiful trail, but then you end up on a fire road for the next four miles. It’s very pretty scenery, but a little bit uninspiring on a fire road.
