High Point, Steep Grade

Last of the San Diego hikes for me. This was like most have sad, first 2 miles is hard. Gets easier after that but still a challenge. Coming back the last 2 miles is a grind. So glad to have gotten to do this hike. We saw some great foliage, a garden snake, plenty of lizards, poison oak on the sides of the trail (Watch out) and some great views. The fire look out tower at the top is still in use. As we sat at the tables at the top the ranger came down and we got to have a good talk for a few min about the tower, fires, weather, and a few other things.

Over all great hard hike. Start early to avoid the heat.
