Mt Elden Lookout Trail is a great hike with a quick ascent! 2,312 feet of Elevation Gain in about 2.5 miles of the trail. There is a great sign under the lookout tower to take a picture. Also, if you look around you will see the triangulated Surveyor Markers nearby. The weather was perfect 70 degrees at 7:30am but got toasty on the way back down nearing mid to upper 90s. Total time was 4 hours not including time spent at the top looking around.
