Second New England peak in as many days.  Mt Riga State Park in Connecticut (site of the Bear Mountain trailhead) is only about 40 miles from the entrance to Mount Greylock State Reservation in Massachusetts, making it ideal for challengers hoping to summit both peaks in a single weekend.   Trails were mostly dry with only a couple of small water obstacles.  Bugs weren’t too bad but definitely more noticeable than at Mount Greylock the day prior.  Ideal weather conditions and perfect visibility at the summit.
