Hike?climb to The Quartz on top

Started hike at 7:40, cool but no wind, in the shade for most of the first hour.  Very comfortable hike until the last 1/2 mile, then steep and trail was difficult to follow, mostly just climb the rocks.  Fabulous views from on top and the protrusion of quartz was spectacular. Warm on the way down as no breeze and direct sun.  Great hike for those who can manage the steep and rocks.
