Just to reiterate my hike title… I absolutely hated this hike.

-bugs were absolutely unbearable!!  My husband and I were bit terribly.. no amount of bug spray worked.

-I had a horrible case of heat exhaustion/dehydration ( I had plenty of water and food). I wish we could have started earlier in the morning but the gates don’t open until 8.

I don’t ever want to do this hike again.

    Based on your description, this was a bad hiking experience, and I’m sorry it wasn’t enjoyable. The good news is that you got it out of the way and you can move forward. ☺️
