Hot accent to Rose Peak

Trip started beautifully, but over the course of the hike became very hot.  This hike is described as exposed, and it is not wrong.  most of the hike you are out in the open on the side or top of a rolling hill.  Makes for beautiful views, but it also makes for some really hot hiking.  If you are looking to do Rose Peak, do it now, don’t wait any longer.  The hills were covered in wildflowers.  Up toward the top they are abundant and varied.  In a few week all of this will be dead and the hike will be too hot to be worth it.
