Hot Day at Cucamonga

Started our hike at 6:14am. Weather was very enjoyable at the start of our hike and began to warmup as we reached the peak. The last mile was a killer for me. It was steep. I felt like a sloth trying to get to the top. Beautiful views from the peak of Cucamonga. Pretty clear skies. On the way down the sun was beating on us. Very little or no shade after completing the switchbacks from the peak itself. The air was extremely hot and dry. ????The way down was not pleasant. According to All Trails it took us 8 hours to hike 12.9 miles.
