Hot Day in the Bay

Decided to start the weekend with a hike to the top of Mt. Umunhum.  I got a later start than I wanted but because of it, not a whole lot of traffic going up the trail with me. The views of San Jose and the Bay off in the distant were pretty cool. I didn’t see a whole lot of wildlife but through patches I smelled some wild mint plants that were pretty nice.  Since I’m in the Air Force, it was really cool to hear about the Air Force history at the top of the mountain about the Bay Area summits during the Cold War.  Although it was scorching all over the Bay, it was a great way to spend a Saturday.
