Started early to try and beat the sweltering heat in Bend this week. Trail starts off fairly flat and there were some bugs in the trees during the lower section.

Once you reach mid mountain, we started climbing steeply parallel to the summit lift. There were a couple short sections of snow which I would recommend either spikes or poles for.

It was hazy from the fires near Yosemite, but we were still treated to nice views of the nearby peaks!
